We’re Caroline and Nathan, the husband-and-wife team behind The Parched Poppies. What started as Caroline’s love for bartending and hospitality slowly turned into a business built around good drinks, meaningful celebrations, and creating experiences people genuinely remember.

Caroline is the workaholic, cocktail-obsessed creative constantly dreaming up new ideas, building businesses, sewing something at midnight, or perfecting a signature drink recipe. Nathan is the endlessly positive jack-of-all-trades who somehow manages to bring all of Caroline’s wild ideas to life. Whether that means building bars, solving problems on the fly, or making even the most chaotic wedding day feel easy, Nathan is your guy.

After just a year in the catering industry, we quickly outgrew our little backyard party setup and Nathan officially joined Caroline in running events full time. What started small has grown more than we ever could have imagined over the last five years, and we feel incredibly lucky to have been supported by such an amazing vendor community and so many wonderful couples along the way.

What we love most about this industry is the people. We love the energy of a full wedding day, the connections made across the bar, and getting to create experiences that feel genuine to each couple we work with. With more than 30 years of combined service industry experience, whether we’re serving signature cocktails at a wedding or checking out a new neighborhood cocktail bar on our day off, hospitality is a huge part of who we are — and we’re so glad it led us here.
